Hoshimaru Ramen-ya
Style anchor
Late-Showa-era Tokyo back-alley ramen shop, 1970s-80s, still in nightly use: dark oiled cedar and elm wood worn smooth and darkened at the edges, dull brushed aluminium and stainless steel with water spots, scratches and soft dents, white porcelain with cobalt-blue hand-painted patterns, cast iron black with soot, red lacquer and red washi paper. Warm tungsten-amber palette of browns, steel greys, cobalt blue and lantern red. Moderate honest wear (wear 0.6), dry surfaces with slight grease sheen. Medium realistic detail. Every label or stamped mark uses the one fictional maker 'HOSHIMARU' (星丸), never a real brand.
