Dai Pai Dong Street Kitchen

Hong Kong dai pai dong open-air street kitchen, late 20th century, still in use today. Palette: faded tomato-red and cobalt-blue moulded plastic, brushed and dented stainless steel, blackened carbon steel, chipped white enamel with hand-painted red-and-green florals, sun-faded green. Materials are cheap, sturdy and heavily used: scuffed plastic, water spots, soot and grease near the heat, small dents and rust at edges, a light damp sheen from a recent rain. Realistic mid-level detail, no stylisation. Any printed or embossed label uses the one fictional maker 'FOOK KONG 福港' in simple red or black lettering.
